On September 28, 2023 at 3:00 p.m., the opening ceremony of the EKOPLAGÁT ´23 exhibition will take place in the show room of the Považská Gallery of Arts in Žilina.

The opening is being held on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of the EKOPLAGÁT international competition of posters with the theme of nature and environmental protection, which has been held since 1978.

The patronage of the EKOPLAGÁT ´23 event was taken over by the President of the Slovak Republic, Ms. Zuzana Čaputová, and at the same time, the Minister of the Environment of the Slovak Republic, Mr. Milan Chrenko, also granted patronage.

This year, 246 posters from 145 authors from 25 countries of the world advanced to the competition. On the day of the opening, the public will find out who the international jury has awarded the Grand Prix, 1st to 3rd prize, or honorable recognition of the jury and co-organizers of the event.

In his posters, in their images, symbols and signs, Lex Drewinski uncovers, precisely, boldly and openly names the essence of the problems of our world and the consequences of human action in all its forms in a precise summary of ideas.
